PABensen Pte. Ltd is a Singapore based design company founded in October, 2012 by a husband and wife team: Peter Arnoud Bensen, Dutch artist and designer, previously a commercial diver and subsea engineer for more than 21 years and Dr. Pina Marziliano, a Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore since 2003.

PABensen creates thought-provoking works and innovative functional products that bridge the fields of art, science and technology. The diversity of its products illustrates the breadth of their capabilities in developing intricate unique and exclusive products. Their inherent Design Thinking approach has facilitated the creation of new products and is a source of inspiration for innovation.

Invented by Peter Arnoud Bensen in November 2013, the flagship product of PABensen is an innovative US patented (US 10,244,864 B2 granted April 2,2019) joining device and system called Evokube® which connects and locks a joint via a tight-fitting interlocking mechanism allowing to securely assemble and easily disassemble objects. Evokube® is strong, modular, scalable and can be manufactured in different materials (wood, metal, plastic).  As Evokube® is structurally sound by design, it lends itself to a wide range and diverse set of applications: modular building and construction, transformable and customizable furniture, as well as, construction play toys, branded Evokube Junior  www.evokube.com\junior.

From 2013-2018, PABensen was located on the Yunnan Garden Campus of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore which is consistently ranked amongst the world’s best universities. PABensen worked and collaborated on a wide range of projects with NTU students, researchers and faculty. PABensen co-supervised final year projects, employed and provided internships to more than 80 students from the different disciplines in Science, Engineering, Business, Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.

In January 2019, Peter and Pina moved to Switzerland to explore new horizons while maintaining PABensen in Singapore.
