Bruno Cavalancia is an international business executive with over 30 years of experience in commercial and strategy development roles within the industrial sector. In support, advisory and executive roles, his responsibilities covered a wide range of functions including general management, business and strategic development, commercial analysis, product management, sales negotiations and team building. He is particularly well versed with operating in Asia having been based in Hong Kong and Singapore while covering Asian markets for over 18 years. Bruno has lived and worked in Canada, Europe and Asia. Bruno is currently Managing Director and founder of Titanium Industry Global Advisory Pte Ltd (‘TIGA’), an advisory group based in Singapore, which provides commercial and strategic direction to existing companies and new entrants in the industrial sector, more specifically in the mineral sands industry. He has also been mandated by financial groups to assess commercial risk prior to investment and entry in the industry.
From 2011 up to mid 2016, Bruno was Head of Commercial and Strategic Development, Asia for Kenmare Resources Plc. He was based in Singapore where he started a new Representative Office for Kenmare in Singapore and one in Beijing to direct business development efforts in China, India and Japan in collaboration with an appointed Agent. While at Kenmare, he established an in-house capability of market intelligence, directed the regional Sales and Marketing function and contributed in a global strategy advisory role within the Executive team.
Prior to this, Bruno worked within the titanium business unit of Rio Tinto for close to 20 years where he made notable progression from supporting roles to executive front-line accountability positions.He led multi-cultural global and regional teams in key commercial positions as Vice President, Sales and Marketing – ASIA, Global Director of Sales and Marketing and Director, Business Development. In these roles, he was directly responsible for business development programs and Sales and Marketing of products from operations in Canada, South Africa and Madagascar. During his tenure at Rio Tinto, he developed and implemented business processes and was instrumental in developing and executing growth strategies and establishing a competitive intelligence platform throughout the organisation.
Bruno is well recognised for developing new business in the Chinese and Japanese markets and building long-term customer and stakeholder relationships throughout Asia, Europe and the United States.
Bruno holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) and an MBA from McGill University in Canada.
